Follow‑Up Post Bariatric Surgery or During Pharmacotherapy

Lifelong follow‑up is essential. Regular reviews protect nutritional health, maintain weight loss and detect complications early.

Surgical Follow-Up Schedule:

We’ll check in with you regularly to see how you’re doing. This includes a routine outpatient review every first, third, sixth and twelfth month, and then yearly after that.

Pharmacotherapy Follow-Up Schedule:

We’ll also keep an eye on you during the weeks of four, eight, twelve and sixteen as your dose is adjusted. If anything comes up that needs extra attention, we might need to schedule more frequent visits.

What We Monitor

• Weight trajectory and body composition
• Micronutrients (B12, folate, ferritin/iron, vitamin D, calcium, zinc, selenium, copper; thiamine if risk)
• Glycaemic control, lipids, blood pressure
• Supplement adherence and medication adjustments
• Diet quality, activity, sleep and psychological wellbeing

Lifelong Supplements (procedure-dependent)

  • Daily multivitamin-mineral; B12 (oral or injections), iron and vitamin D/calcium as indicated
