Weight Loss Surgery Cost: Insurance and Self-Pay Options

Weight loss surgery cost depends on the procedure, the hospital and how your care is funded. Mr Spyros Panagiotopoulos works with leading private medical insurers and also welcomes self-pay patients, with transparent information on fees before you decide.

Insurance Providers

We are recognised by and work with a wide range of leading private medical insurance providers, including:

  • Allianz Partners
  • Aviva
  • AXA Health
  • Healix Health Services
  • Vitality Health
  • WPA (Western Provident Association)
  • Bupa

We recommend checking your level of cover and obtaining any necessary pre-authorisation from your insurer before your appointment or procedure.

Self-Pay Patients

We also welcome patients who wish to fund their own treatment without private medical insurance. Self-pay consultations, investigations, and surgical procedures are available with transparent pricing and no requirement for insurance approval.

If you are considering self-funding your care, our team will be happy to provide information about consultation fees, procedure costs, and any associated hospital charges. A personalised quotation can be provided once your treatment plan has been discussed and agreed.

For further information about insurance coverage or self-pay options, please contact our team, who will be pleased to assist you.

  4. Procedure cost:
    • Hospital fees (depending on the chosen procedure)
    • Anaesthetic fee (depending on the chosen procedure)
    • Surgical fee (depending on the chosen procedure)

The follow-up (at least for 2 years) is part of the surgical fee and will be formalised after the procedure is complete.
